April 11, 2014

Capitalize Albany Corporation is pleased to announce they will be hosting the second State of Downtown Albany Market Series meeting on Thursday, April 24th at 20 Park Street from 5:30 to 7:00 pm. The 20 Park Street office space has particularly unique views of the Empire State Plaza and is currently on the market for those looking to relocate their offices to Downtown. The event will focus on the current state of the office market in Downtown, and how it specifically can be leveraged to accommodate the area’s growing technology sector.

Presenting at the event will be our expert consulting team, as well as Dr. James J Malatras who is the Vice Chancellor for Policy and Chief of Staff for SUNY, and Michael Fancher who is the Vice President for Business Development and Economic Outreach for the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering. Dr. Malatras will discuss how and why New York State’s Start-up NY initiative is important to Downtown Albany, and Mr. Fancher will address what technology companies we are seeking and what they need. He will also highlight strengths that the City offers and touch on the intersection of technology with the arts, cultural, creative class, etc. Additionally, we will have a panelist discussion with our consulting team, speakers, and local experts.

We politely request that you register for the event on the Event Brite page, but would like to note that pre-registration is not required in order to attend the event.
