Capitalize Albany Board members Robert Curley and Dr. Robert Jones Recognized by the Albany Business Review

Congratulations to Capitalize Albany Board members Robert M. Curley and Dr. Robert Jones, recognized as part of the Albany Business Review’s 2015 Achievers Awards.

Robert M. Curley, New York State Chairman of Berkshire Bank was recognized as the Albany Business Review’s Executive of the Year and Dr. Robert Jones, President of the University at Albany received this year’s Game Changer award. These annual awards acknowledge the professionals vital to our region, those making great strides in shaping our community’s future.

Robert M. Curley, a career banker, community activist, and respected mentor, is currently chairman of Berkshire Bank in New York, in addition to Capitalize Albany he also serves on the Board of Directors of Berkshire Hills Bankcorp. Mr. Curley’s distinguished career in the banking industry began in college as a bank teller. He was named President and Chief Executive Officer of Key Bank of Long Island at the age of 37. Robert J. Jones, Ph.D., has served as the University at Albany’s president since 2013. Jones is nationally recognized for his work to advance university-community engagement, and at UAlbany, he is leading efforts to strengthen the University’s community partnerships. He currently co-chairs the Capital Region Economic Development Council with Albany Medical Center CEO James Barba, and is co-convener of The Albany Promise, a cross-sector cradle-to-career partnership.
