Local CFA Workshop at Albany City Hall

Governor Cuomo’s transformative Regional Economic Development Councils Round VIII consolidated funding application (CFA) process is under way and Capitalize Albany Corporation will be hosting an informational session and application workshop on Wednesday June 27 at Albany City Hall from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. Empire State Development’s Capital Region Director will be on site to answer questions and provide assistance to applicants.

Capitalize Albany Corporation is available to coordinate letters of support from the Mayor and resolutions from the City of Albany Common Council. Applicants that plan on requesting a letter of support or require a municipal resolution must complete the Project Description Form available here. This form must be completed and submitted to Capitalize Albany staff by close of the June 27 workshop, staff can assist with finalizing this form at the CFA workshop if you have not already submitted it. It is important to note that not all programs require a formal resolution, so please be sure to review your identified funding source very carefully prior to application. All final applications must be submitted to the State by 4 p.m. on July 27.

- June 27 – Project Description forms due to Capitalize Albany, including resolution and letter of support requests
- July 11 – Common Council Caucus Meeting – Presentation for CFA applications seeking the Council’s support
- July 16 – Full Common Council Meeting
- July 27, 4 p.m. – Application period closes. All applications must be submitted by this time.
- October 2018 – Scoring by CREDC complete
- Late Fall 2018 – Awards are announced
