Introduction to the ZEN Building at CNSE

On Thursday, May 15th, Fuller Road Management gave an introduction to the College of Nanoscale Science’s Zero Energy Nanotechnology (ZEN) building to the City of Albany CRC (Capital Resource Corporation) Board. The project is a $191 million investment in support of the research and educational purposes of CNSE through the various tenancies and programs that will be included in ZEN. The facility will include:
- Approximately 30,000 square feet of usable space for the State of New York for use as a Tier 3 data center to house the consolidation of high-security, critical State data operations
- Approximately 22,240 square feet of usable space for Questar III BOCES pursuant for use as Tech Valley High School
- Space for the DO-IT Center which will establish an environment with specialized infrastructure to educate Small, Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprises and on-site partners on emerging technology platforms. The DO-IT Center will support existing and future partners by integrating a unique space of physical classrooms with remote learning and hands-on training facilities for the Capital Region’s next generation, high-tech workforce.
