Capitalize Albany Corporation, the Department of Development and Planning, the City of Albany IDA & CRC and the Albany Community Development Agency host Albany Reinvests 2014 at the Albany Barn/Academy Lofts

On Tuesday, June 17th, Capitalize Albany Corporation, the Department of Development and Planning, the City of Albany IDA and CRC and the Albany Community Development Agency celebrated a year’s worth of reinvestment into the Capital City at Albany Reinvests 2014. The event was held at the Albany Barn/Academy Lofts and over 100 community members, stakeholders and elected officials attended.

Mayor Sheehan served as the keynote speaker at the event. She presented an in-depth analysis of the City of Albany’s economic development challenges, assets and opportunities moving forward, with a particular emphasis on Albany’s rich history. Honored at the event was Commissioner of Development and Planning and Capitalize Albany Corporation President, Michael Yevoli.

Each attendee received a copy of the Albany Reinvests annual report, which highlights the major projects that were either completed or are underway for the years 2013-14. Project highlights include the Capital South Campus Center, Wellington Row/The Dewitt Clinton and the Madison Avenue road diet. To view the report, click here.
