Small Business Facade Improvement Program To Accept More Applications This Spring

Additional City of Albany Small Business Facade Improvement Program applications will be accepted as part of a spring 2019 funding window concluding the program’s third round. More details about the application process and deadlines will be announced within the next several weeks. The fall 2018 funding window opened on Sept. 4 and closed on Oct. 19, 2018. The number and value of grants available as part of the spring 2019 funding window will be based on remaining grant funding available following the fall 2018 window.  

Previous rounds of this small business program have been tremendously successful. To date the program has leveraged more than $500,000 in new investment. Administered by Capitalize Albany Corporation, the City of Albany Small Business Facade Improvement Program is made possible by funding from the City of Albany Capital Resource Corporation and with continued support from the Albany Community Development Agency. The program can provide matching grants to small businesses and/or commercial property owners for exterior renovations.
