Albany stakeholders are invited to attend an informational presentation by New York State Office of General Services Commissioner Jeanette Moy to learn more about the proposed executive budget. This presentation hosted by Capitalize Albany Corporation aims to increase public participation in the budgetary process and will cover Governor Kathy Hochul’s proposed Executive Budget for Fiscal Year 2026. The presentation will highlight key initiatives and features of the overall budget proposal including the governor’s planned $400 million investment in downtown Albany.
About Commissioner Moy: Jeanette Moy was appointed Commissioner of the New York State Office of General Services (OGS) by Governor Kathy Hochul in October 2021 and was unanimously confirmed by the New York State Senate in February 2022. As Commissioner, she also serves as a member of Governor Hochul’s Cabinet. Under Commissioner Moy’s leadership, OGS is implementing a comprehensive strategic plan to improve how the agency operates, making it more data-driven, sustainable, and responsive. She is leading efforts to modernize the State’s operations, including capital design and construction initiatives, e-procurement systems, and leveraging New York’s buying power to reduce government costs and achieve the State’s crucial environmental and economic goals.
