Capitalize Albany Corporation to Host Informational Roundtable Session on CFA Process

With the Regional Economic Development Council’s Round VI consolidated funding application (CFA) process officially under way Capitalize Albany Corporation will be hosting an informational roundtable session from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. in Albany City Hall’s Rotunda on Thursday, June 16.
The event provides an opportunity for business owners, community leaders and residents to come together and discuss how the CFA process can make an impact in your community. Capitalize Albany Corporation will be available to answer any questions, explain the CFA process and will discuss available resources for those with project development ideas.

As part of Round VI, over $750 million in state economic development resources is being made available. In order to be considered for an award through the REDC, you must complete the online Consolidated Funding Application (CFA) through New York State. The CFA process was opened to applicants in May and has a deadline of July 29, 2016 at 4:00 p.m.
Capitalize Albany Corporation will continue its role as a local clearinghouse for potential projects during Round VI of the CFA process. The Corporation can coordinate letters of support from the Mayor and resolutions from the Common Council. Additionally, Capitalize Albany staff can provide project assistance and work with the applicant to ensure that the anticipated project meets local goals established in community planning efforts and that it is competitive statewide, regionally impactful and shovel ready.
Applicants that plan on requesting a letter of support or require a municipal resolution must complete the intake form linked to here and above and return it to Capitalize Albany prior to July 1, 2016. It is important to note that not all programs require a formal resolution, so please be sure to review your identified funding source very carefully prior to application.
