Call To Artists | Lark Street Banner Competition

The Lark Street Business Improvement District announced its Lark Street Banner Competition and is currently accepting designs from local artists online through April 28th. The top three designs chosen in the competition will be displayed on 24″ x 48″ banners to be installed in strategic locations throughout the commercial district year-round. Through this programming, local artists have the opportunity to support their community and have their artwork recognized among Lark Street’s 200,000 annual visitors. 

The displayed designs will complement the entire district’s vibrancy while driving foot traffic to nearby businesses as well as support the BID’s beautification initiatives. The Lark Street BID’s Banner Competition is supported by the Amplify Albany Grant Program. The Grant Program is made possible by the City of Albany’s Capital Resource Corporation and Capitalize Albany Corporation. The grant program provides resources to businesses, non-profits and other organizations to strengthen the City of Albany’s various commercial districts through the creation and execution of short and medium term innovative, authentic, unique and buzz-worthy promotional projects, events and programming.
