eba Sock Hop Dance Series Finale On June 17 | Amplify Albany

On Saturday, June 17 from 7-10 p.m. the eba Theater will hold its Sock Hop series’ final installment. The Amplify Albany grant program supported event brings an all ages dance music concert series in an effort to attract new crowds and interest to the Lark Street business district. Funding for the grant program is provided by the City of Albany’s Capital Resource Corporation.

Kicking off in November last year, the eba Theater held its first Sock Hop event as part of a series. Located in the Lark Street business district at 351 Hudson Avenue, the eba Theater has been providing arts programming in Albany for nearly 40 years. The series’ events are substance-free music performances by local and regional musicians. Local restaurants had the opportunity  to offered a free drink, appetizer special, or percentage off of a dinner for those attending the events in addition to coupons or other incentives to catalyze interest.
