New Seasonal Programming Expands Authentic Downtown Albany Tourism Offerings

May 7, 2018

Expanding operations, Taste of Troy Food Tours has brought its programming to downtown Albany. Supported by the Amplify Albany grant program, the newest seasonal attraction was launched Thursday at the Downtown Albany Heritage Area Visitors Center. The Historic Downtown Albany Food Tour is a new walking tour that explores Albany’s history, the evolution and authenticity of its restaurant scene.

New investment in both residential and tourism as part of Impact Downtown Albany implementation is strengthening the downtown restaurant landscape. The Historic Downtown Albany Food Tour began May 4 and will be offered every Friday from May to October. Visitors will experience Albany’s evolving culinary scene firsthand through six tastings from Albany restaurants including C.H. Evans Brewing Company at the Albany Pump Station, Ama Cocina, The Hollow Bar and Kitchen, Cider Belly Doughnuts, Stacks Espresso Bar and the Olde English Pub. The walking tour also features historic facts about the City and stops in important landmarks along the way. Read more.
