Winter Art Fest Block Party Celebrates Growing Arts Connection In Clinton Square Neighborhood

February 25, 2020

Hundreds attended this exciting annual event for the second year in a row. Supported in part by the Amplify Albany Grant Program, the Albany Distilling and Albany Center Gallery Winter Art Fest returned with expanded programming supporting the Clinton Square DRI zone and strengthening its connection to downtown’s central business district, the warehouse district and surrounding neighborhoods. This connection is crucial in realizing the Impact Downtown Albany strategic plan’s full potential.

Numerous local artists and businesses participated. The growing event brought the festival from inside the Albany Distilling Co. Bar & Bottle Shop’s space at 75 Livingston Ave. to an outdoor block-party event (blocking off Livingston Avenue from Broadway up to North Pearl Street). Programming included music, games, art and tastings from Albany and regional food vendors, including Cider Belly Doughnuts, Nine Pin Ciderworks, Fort Orange Brewing, and Albany Distilling. The event also featured performance art from various artists including muralists, welders, tape artists, blacksmiths and ice sculptors.
