Grant funding can be a powerful tool to move your project or organization forward, but the application can feel overwhelming. Join Mayor Dr. Dorcey Applyrs and the City of Albany, Capitalize Albany Corporation and the Community Loan Fund of the Capital Region at the Albany Housing Authority for a hands-on workshop designed to break down the core components of a strong grant application and give you practical tools to use right away.
Date: March 5 at 2PM – 4PM
Location: Albany Housing Authority
200 South Pearl Street
Albany, NY 12202
Whether you’re a small business or nonprofit organization exploring grant funding for the first time, or looking to sharpen your skills, this session will walk through the essential elements funders expect to see, from project planning and need statements to budgets, evaluation, and sustainability.
Participants will engage in guided discussions, table activities, and real-world examples to better understand how to tell a clear, compelling, and competitive story in a grant application. You’ll leave with a stronger understanding of how grant applications are structured, what reviewers look for, and how to organize your ideas before and during the writing process.
No prior grant-writing experience is required. Space is limited, please RSVP below.
