Innovation Is Made In Albany
What does a trucking and logistics company, a vinyl-pressing operation, a natural skin care line and a reusable medical isolation gown have in common? They are M-A-D-E in the ALB!
Along with networking, refreshments and our annual development update, we’re excited to present this year’s Made in Albany panel discussion as part of Building For Tomorrow 2024, at the Port of Albany where we’ll highlight the innovation, manufacturing, and entrepreneurship shaping Albany’s future. The evening will feature four dynamic leaders from diverse industries, this discussion will explore how local investments are driving success and growth on a local, regional and global scale.
The evening’s panel will be moderated by Megan Daly, Chief Commerce Officer at the Port of Albany. With a proven track record in economic development, Megan oversees all of the Albany Port District Commission’s economic development, business development, and strategic development opportunities.
Mary Keim, President and owner of Dagen Trucking with operations at the Port of Albany, specializes in transporting oversized freight with precision and expertise, supporting major energy projects and economic growth in Albany and beyond.
Octavia Maxwell, CEO and owner of Skin Deep Naturals, a successful entrepreneur and former Albany STEAM Garden incubator tenant has built a thriving natural skin and hair care brand that champions sustainability and community-driven growth.
Steve Reddy, President and owner of Equal Vision Records, has grown his independent label into a powerhouse for music and merchandise, now expanding with a state-of-the-art vinyl pressing operation in Albany’s South End neighborhood.
Sara Rudin, President and owner of Iso Guardian and Tidy Tots Diapers, both of her companies are successful Albany STEAM Garden incubator startups. She combined innovation and sustainability to deliver breakthrough reusable medical isolation gowns and continues to build the success of revolutionary Tidy Tots cloth diapers.
