Capitalize Albany Corporation Expands Staff to Improve Outreach

There are three new faces at Capitalize Albany Corporation, a private, non-profit that serves as the economic development arm for the city of Albany, New York. Sabina Mora, senior economic developer; Ashley Lavigne, senior economic developer II; and Michael Bohne, communications and marketing assistant, recently joined the staff.
They are filling vacancies and are part of an effort to increase outreach, said president Sarah Reginelli. She oversees a staff of eight.
Capitalize Albany, based at 21 Lodge St., administers a range of services for developers and property owners, including tax breaks available through the city Industrial Development Agency and a loan program that has supported six real estate projects over the past three years. Those projects created 124 market-rate apartments, an investment that exceeded $24.3 million. Capitalize Albany has helped develop 185 market-rate units downtown.
